Chris Nilsen, the reigning U.S. champion representing Nike, won the men's pole vault competition with a first-attempt clearance at 19-5.25 (5.92m) at the Herculis EBS, the annual Monaco Diamond League meeting at the Louis II Stadium in Fontvieille. Nilsen prevailed against reigning World gold medalist and world record-holder Armand "Mondo" Duplantis, who endured his first loss since September with a fourth-place finish at 18-9.25 (5.72m).
